Off the top of my head I’d say Child of Eden. Rez is one of my all-time favourite games. My first experience of it was at university when, how shall I put it… my mental state was often a little more adventurous than it is now. I was in a dark room, the PS2 was hooked up to my stereo. Clean run from beginning to end. It was like a religious experience. I emerged from the conclusion of the game a different man. No shit. I can’t wait to see what the modern HD era can bring to the design.

Aside from that other games that spring to mind are Crysis 2, Infamous 2, the XBLA version of Bangai-O, Deathsmiles, Bulletstorm and Killzone 3. There are undoubtedly loads more I’ve forgotten.

Oh, and I’m fascinated to see how Valve takes the short-but-sweet formula of Portal and translates into a full-length standalone console title with Portal 2. And I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t already counting down the days until FIFA 12 and, if Konami manages to pull it around, PES 2012.
