Fanstoys Apache
StandardI had this fella pre-ordered long before Open & Play Big Spring was a thing. I can only really justify one space on the shelf, so the fight is on. Out of the box, the Fanstoys bot is as chunky as you’d expect. I couldn’t say which I prefer at this stage, however. I’m fearful about the transformation, too – could that be what swings it in favour of Open & Play? We’ll see.

The Immigrant Song Theory
StandardI applied the theory that Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin makes any film better to Transformers: The Movie pic.twitter.com/k0YFLDzbUd

The fuck, Fanstoys?
StandardWe all want a decent Masterpiece Arcee. And Fanstoys look the like the ones to deliver it. Whoop! This is all going to be great, right?

Jazz says that ain’t cool
StandardDear me. I think we all know Jazz would Nazi-punch with the best of them.

Placeholders
StandardAm in the process of trying not to buy Toyworld Leia, which is obviously a flawed toy. However, with Fanstoys Koot now on the shelf, that oversized KO Wei Jiang Arcee is really sticking out like a sore thumb. I know the Fanstoys version will be here ‘soon’ (which, by FT standards, could be a long ‘soon’), so the Toyworld bot would only be a placeholder. But, I’ve always been of the opinion that if you a buy a bot and later sell it at a loss, you’ve basically paid for the time you did have to experience and enjoy it, which in itself is an investment. Of sorts. The only thing stopping me really is that I also want to buy Assassin’s Creed Origins – must be one or t’other!
