What to Expect When Your Custody Case Goes to Court

My third piece for BLB is live. I shall admit that I was completely unprepared for how writing it would effect me. I had not appreciated quite how much of the detail of what we all went through I had buried away, and digging it up was quite a harrowing experience. It’s made me realise that I’m most definitely in no way at peace with it all. I’m not sure whether that means I need to explore the impact of everything in a therapeutic setting, or whether our brain rightly suppresses such things for a reason. At the very least I hope the article may help others in a similar situation.

I think Capaldi is a great actor, he’s had (contrary to what at time feels like the negative popular opinion) some incredible episodes. Like, some really, really incredible episodes. And he’s most definitely a good Doctor.

BUT…

… I think it’s the right time. For me (and my daughter, with whom I was discussing this topic only yesterday) his Doctor is not as satisfying to watch as (the incredible) Matt Smith. Or David Tennant, for that matter. As nervous as I am about Moffat jumping ship, a brand new writing team with a brand new Doctor will at the least shake things up and make for an interesting refresh.

Go on BBC, have the spine to give us a female Doctor, yeah?

REVIEW: Rogue One

I like to imagine the now time-rich George Lucas returns to the original trilogy alone in his mansion’s editing studio now and then and does all sorts of wacky shit. Far zanier than chucking in some CGI spaceships, fucking up the Ewok song and, I dunno, giving the Sarlacc a bowler hat. I mean really drastic shit like, removing the opening crawl and, erm, perhaps even ditching the opening Star Wars sting entirely. Then he cracks open a 7Up, sits back and violently swears while imagining all the fanboy tears.
