Dave: A Collection

Standard

If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll be all too aware of my thoughts on Dave the cat. We have two cats. Katamari is a normal ‘cat’ cat but Dave is… I don’t even know. A moron. An arse. Largely unlikable. Very, very stupid. He’s got a lot of love in him, I’ll give him that, but he ‘cats’ so very badly.

He wasn’t allowed out at the time, but we did have a litter tray down. He just wouldn’t use it. He would shit in the bath, too, but I don’t have a picture of that. Thankfully.

ReMOANer, amirite?

I generally don’t argue with Leave voters any more. How can you constructively debate with a side that has so demonstrably chosen to reject virtually all established reasonable fact? However, every now and then I treat myself.

Placeholders

Standard

Am in the process of trying not to buy Toyworld Leia, which is obviously a flawed toy. However, with Fanstoys Koot now on the shelf, that oversized KO Wei Jiang Arcee is really sticking out like a sore thumb. I know the Fanstoys version will be here ‘soon’ (which, by FT standards, could be a long ‘soon’), so the Toyworld bot would only be a placeholder. But, I’ve always been of the opinion that if you a buy a bot and later sell it at a loss, you’ve basically paid for the time you did have to experience and enjoy it, which in itself is an investment. Of sorts. The only thing stopping me really is that I also want to buy Assassin’s Creed Origins – must be one or t’other!

Fireworks hunting

Standard

The girl and I last night decided that, instead of going to a big display, we would make a large thermos of hot chocolate and go firework hunting in the car. Among our successes was this lovely spot in the hills of Hertfordshire where we could watch the London fireworks from afar.
